In 2005, this Partnership led the town to victory in the Enterprising Britain competition. Shrewsbury became the first ever West Midlands Capital of Enterprise and runner up in the national final against intense competition from industrial heavyweights including Belfast, Leeds, Exeter, London and Coventry.
This enterprise triumph was centred around the entrepreneurial strength of the local business
operators and in 2009 Shropshire Enterprise Partnershiprepeated the triumph, the only place in the UK to be twice awarded this prestigious title.
The Partnership helps to secure the county's commercial future by encouraging and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Numbers of board places are limited and membership will bring places at private dinners with national speakers as well as close involvement with projects to inspire Shropshire's ‘wannabe' entrepreneurs. The funding raised through core investment into this scheme is used to support the next generation of young businesses in this county
