Shropshire Enterprise Partnership is a well established company with a 14 year track record of award winning achievements, the Partnership is a not for profit company, limited by guarantee.
OBJECTIVES:
- To promote the economic, social and environmental development of Shropshire
- To develop, secure and provide training, advisory, consultative and other support services and advice to and for local businesses, and;
- Promote the development of existing businesses and the establishment of new business, particularly in the home based and micro enterprise sector.
- To facilitate powerful local partnerships between the public and private sectors
- To grow and develop the economic, educational and social life of Shropshire
- To create a strong and appealing identity for Shropshire
- To promote Shropshire as a county with a rich commercial and cultural economy and high quality of life
- To improve Shropshire and Shrewsbury's profile as international destinations for tourism, business and education
- To attract and encourage diverse business and inward investment into Shropshire
- To enable local people to play a part in Shropshire's future

Over the past years, we have added millions of pounds of economic activity to the county, developing the home-based and micro enterprise sector, increasing business & visitor tourism levels and helping to create a compelling & entrepreneural identity for the county.
Some of our Key Performance Indicators:
- Event management – bringing over 300,000 visitors to Shrewsbury to attend events large and small
- Raising commercial sponsorship and in-kind support for local projects – in excess of £4million
- Publicity – local, regional and national, including TV and radio – valued at over £5million
- Promotional publications – town centre regeneration campaigns included ‘Sundays In Shrewsbury' ‘Shopping and Happenings in Shrewsbury', ‘Christmas in Shrewsbury', 'EAT in Shrewsbury', ‘Shrewsbury Blooms', ‘Darwin in Shrewsbury', ‘Discover Shrewsbury' - over 2million brochures produced and distributed
- Books – ‘The Power of Enterprise' and ‘This is Shrewsbury' published by this Partnership
- Magazines and newspaper supplements - Smart Shrewsbury ran for 5 years and with a circulation of 180,000 and a readership of 250,000, the joint venture with The Shropshire Star was seen as a ground breaking project
- Competitions – Twice regional winners of the Enterprising Britain competition, the only place in the country to have won through to the finals twice, both awards recognised the strength of the entrepreneurial culture - 2005 & 2009
