Shropshire Enterprise Partnership is the first regeneration company in the country to respond to the social and economic trend towards homeworking, recognising that these small [some not so small] businesses are the drivers of a surge in new business creation. 60% of all new businesses are now started from home and in Shropshire the rural economy will benefit greatly from supporting these new start ups.
The Partnership plays a leadership role in the county in attracting key partners to support this work to develop the economy - The Shropshire Star and the Rural Regeneration Zone are serious backers of the new Enterprise Local project which represents the FIRST of a series of major funded projects to be managed by SEP
Future regeneration projects will include the ‘hot’ sectors for rural and market town regeneration schemes
The Partnership is actively seeking approaches from partners with ideas to fit into the STRATEGIC roadmap.
Current projects include:
ALL THE LITTLE SHOPS - A unique scheme to develop e-commerce on-line promotional advertising for the town centre’s independent businesses. In partnership with local web design company - BeVivid.
A BID FOR SHREWSBURY - Plans to create a Town Centre company for promotions and economic expansion.
